There is a unique city in the world where people work every day to get opportunities to search for gold. This city is at an altitude of about 17 thousand feet above sea level, there is no complete law and order here, rather masked people patrol here and people fight on the streets.
The popular YouTube channel Yes Theory sent reporter Ammar Candil to La Rinconada in the Peruvian Andes. He has termed this colony as anarchist. The gold mining town is home to about 50,000 people who live and work under the cachorrio system, which lets them work for up to 30 days in exchange for the opportunity to try and find gold for a day.
Ammar had no idea where he was going before reaching there. As soon as they arrived they felt a little dizzy and on arrival they were greeted by a sea of garbage. They talked to a woman, she said she had been working there for about four years, but she probably tried to break rocks.

Meanwhile, all the water in the area has become so polluted that it is no longer fit for drinking. A local claims that people die there almost every day. Discotheques are also very dangerous because criminals come there. Ammar said it is estimated that about 2,500 women from neighboring cities come here for prostitution.
